ในช่วงเดือน มีนาคม 2567 มีข่าวใหญ่เกี่ยวกับโรคหัด (Measles) ติดต่อจากคนสู่คน ในประเทศญี่ปุ่น และพบมากในบริเวณภูมิภาคคันไซ หรือในเขตของโอซาก้า
สถานกงสุล ณ นครโอซาก้า ได้ประกาศว่า พบผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางมาจากกรุงอาบูดาบี สู่โอโซก้า ในวันที่ 1 มีนาคม ติดเชื้อหัด และยังมีรายงานผุ้ติดเชื้อเพิ่มมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ทั้งในภูมิภาคคันไซและภูมิภาคอื่นๆ ซึ่งเหตุการณ์ครั้งนี้เป็นการระบาดใหม่หลังจากพบการระบาดในช่วงปี 2561 ที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งพบผุ้ป่วยสูงถึง 1,692 ราย
มีประกาศคำแนะนำสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่วางแผนเดินทางไปยังประเทศญี่ปุ่น เน้นย้ำให้สวมหน้ากากอนามัยขณะใช้บริการขนส่งสาธารณะ และในบริเวณพื้นที่ชุมชน สังเกตอาการตนเอง
เชื้อไวรัสหัดจะเข้าสู่ร่างกายทางระบบทางเดินหายใจ อาจจะมีอาการภายใน 2 สัปดาห์ หลังจากสัมผัสเชื้อ มักจะพบ อาการคล้ายไข้หวัด มีไข้สูง ผื่นคันตามร่างกาย เริ่มจากศีรษะลงไปบริเวณลำตัว แต่ผื่นมักจะหายภายใน 3-5 วัน แต่ข้อดีคือ ไม่ค่อยพบผู้ที่เสียชีวิตจากโรคนี้
สำหรับนักเดินทางชาวไทย ที่กำลังจะเดินทางไปเที่ยวยังประเทศญี่ปุ่น ที่ไม่มั่นใจ ว่ามีภูมิคุ้มกันโรค เคยป่วย หรือได้รับวัคซีนป้องกันโรค หัด หัดเยอรมัน คางทูม (Measles, rubella, mumps: MMR vaccine) ไม่ครบถือเป็นกลุ่มที่เสี่ยงต่อการติดเชื้อ และโดยเฉพาะกลุ่มเด็กเล็กที่ไม่ได้รับวัคซีนป้องกันโรค อาจเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดภาวะแทรกซ้อนจากการเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคหัดได้ หรือกลุ่มสตรีมีครรภ์ที่ยังไม่มีภูมิ การติดเชื้อนั้นจะส่งโดยตรงผลกับทารกในครรภ์ได้
ดังนั้น ผู้ที่ไม่มั่นใจ หมอแนะนำให้เข้ามาพบแพทย์ อย่างน้อย 4-6 สัปดาห์ก่อนออกเดินทาง เพื่อพิจารณาความเสี่ยงของการติดโรค บางรายอาจจะได้รับวัคซีนป้องกันโรค หรือตรวจภูมิคุ้มกันต่อโรค หรือบางรายอาจจะไม่จำเป็นต้องรับวัคซีนเพิ่มเติมเลยก็ได้
วัคซีนป้องกันโรคห้ด หัดเยอรมัน คางทูม หรือ วัคซีน MMR ที่ เชียงใหม่เวลเนสคลินิก นั้น เป็นวัคซีนที่มีประสิทธิภาพดี ผลข้างเคียงที่พบ เป็นผลข้างเคียงไม่รุนแรง เช่น ไข้ต่ำๆ ครั่นเนื้อครั่นตัว หรือเจ็บบริเวณที่ฉีด
แต่อย่างไรก็ตามผู้ที่เดินทางกลับจากพื้นที่ระบาดภายใน 21 วัน หากมีอาการไข้และผื่นขึ้น แนะนำให้พบแพทย์ และแจ้งประวัติการเดินทาง เพื่อให้แพทย์ได้วินิจฉัยอย่างถูกต้อง รวมไปถึงวางแผนแนวทางการป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดการระบาดเพิ่มเติมในประเทศไทยครับ

In March 2024, there was significant news regarding the measles outbreak in Japan, particularly prevalent in the Kansai region or within the Osaka area.
Authorities in Osaka announced that passengers traveling from Abudabi to Osaka on March 1st were infected with measles. Subsequently, there have been increasing reports of infections in both the Kansai region and other areas. This outbreak follows a previous one in 2018, where 1,692 cases were reported.
Travel advisories have been issued for tourists planning to visit Japan, emphasizing the importance of wearing face masks while using public transportation and in community areas. Travelers are urged to monitor their own symptoms.
Measles virus enters the body through the respiratory system and symptoms may appear within 2 weeks of exposure. Common symptoms include fever, rash starting from the head and spreading downwards, which usually resolves within 3-5 days. Fortunately, fatalities from this disease are rare.
For Thai travelers planning trips to Japan who are unsure of their immunity, previous illnesses, or vaccination history against measles, rubella, and mumps (MMR vaccine), they are considered at risk, especially children who have not been vaccinated. Pregnant women without immunity risk transmitting the infection directly to their unborn babies.
Therefore, individuals who are unsure are advised to consult a doctor at least 4-6 weeks before traveling. Some may need to receive vaccinations or immunity tests, while others may not require additional vaccines.
The MMR vaccine available at Chiang Mai Well-ness Clinic is highly effective with mild side effects such as low-grade fever, muscle aches, or injection site discomfort.
However, travelers returning from outbreak areas within 21 days, experiencing fever and rash, are advised to seek medical attention and inform their travel history to facilitate accurate diagnosis and prevent further outbreaks in Thailand.
